How to save Moon Flower Seeds
In Southern Ontario, Moonflowers (Ipomoea alba) are a heat loving annual. Save the seed pods for yearly enjoyment, in 3 easy steps.
How to collect Moonflower seeds
Wait for the petals to fade and drop off.
The ‘back’ of the flower will have a bulge if it has been pollinated. Wait for this to turn brown and crispy.
Crack open the brown pod to access seeds. Collect and store in a paper bag.
Please me mindful that when you save Moonflower (also known as Tropical White Morning-Glory) seeds they are toxic and should be kept away from children and pets.
